Devere Group in Bangkok, Krung Thep - SEC STOPS DEVERE FROM TRADING WHY?? NOW BROADGATE

I know that they are a legit company and offer some good products, but what has happened to them they seem to be having problems with the Thai SEC they say its the whole industry but i haven't seen any other advisories having to change their names or being told to stop trading? I am a client of theirs in Hong Kong but now live in Thailand and it's worrying me. Is my money Safe????? I heard they have been having having the same Problem in South Africa, Malaysia, They were Kicked out of Singapore. The SEC Thai or not don't just make a company stop trading or no reason do they??? and i see they are now still trading under Broadgate sure if there is something wrong they should not be allowed just open up shot under another name? I know that they ave a bit of a bad rep but for me they did ok. just now worried if i should take my money out or move it with someone else. any advice???

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group in Chicago, Illinois - Devere, if I had know I would have not tried!

Hi everyone I am glad to share this with you. I started investement with devere while I was leaving in China. A lot of good benefit they said, finally within 3 years while most of the market were raising my investment were just stuck on a flat curve, even slowly decreasing because of the fees. Later I moved to USA. No problem they told me ! We will keep managing your account from China. Well, no problem but with 12h difference reality comes back quickly. They proposed me to transfer to local Devere office. Great! Devere is a global group. No no ! I talked to this guy on the phone that told me all the bad things about the office back in China ....Global but not globla friends! Besides I have 3 other friends who did investment with them and who in the same way have been disapointed! Nevere put money there.....

Devere Group in Bangkok, Krung Thep - The World of Expat Adviser Sharks

Devere Group - The World of Expat Adviser Sharks
As a UK & Offshore professionally qualified assets manager of 24+ years experience in both the UK & throughout S.E. Asia, with over 600 articles published as a lead financial affairs columnist, I know all there is to know about Expat IFA's, Boiler-roomer's, fraudulent Ponzi scams, SEC investor alerts, & the tactics of De Vere plus many other consultancy groups in Thailand & beyond. Like most, DV contracts ex:' direct sales ' advisers for the closing ability, and not their qualifications, on a commission only basis. They are taught what financial products they are allowed to sell instead of being allowed to give truly independent advice. Thus they make the MAXIMUM comm's for the company of which the advisers get a share pro-rata ! Their legitimate schemes (Scxx's) revolve around Fund Platform sales, and comm's ear'nt from Ponzi Fund placements via Life-Co Bonds & Platforms. Some IFA company's in Thailand, ( e.g. ex Barclay Carrigan & PFS ) go so far as to set-up CTA Funds to enable them to divert client savings into such funds that eventually go down the toilet ! A large number of canvassers are ex boiler room, timeshare, & hotel incentive plan sellers ! In the end, all the decent & UK qualified staff leave in search of an Offshore IFA Company that is truly independent in providing a full range of professional advice without kow-towing to the diktat's of their board directors period ! Not a simple task !!!!

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group - Unproffesional advisory are clueless and incompetent

Poor customer service. Did not deliver on their promises. No advising. Staying away from problems after getting your money. Arrogant. No solutions. Irresponsible and using people. Advisor had no clue about procedures and forms. Payments were delayed. My details were not passed on correctly in their system. Advisor left and no replacement was offered as per the contract. Confused employees. Unreliable and very very unprofessional. PIC also works with them. Do not trust them. They just want the money and then I found out all the funds they invested are under investigation. No replies to emails. Too many people involved and ultimately noone knows what to do. very bad service

Devere Group in Brussels, Brussels - Not professionals, only interested by your money

I have contracted an insurance through Devere & Partners in Brussels. After a view years, and multiple advisors, one of them explained to me, that the product I bought was a mirror fund product. Very expensive (charges), not flexible at all. The advisors were only interested in saling more products and making more money. I have lost half of my investment. The office has been closed in Brussels. Devere did not bother to contact me in order to transfer my account to a different office. Devere is from far the worse experience I ever had with financial advisor. Marc Francois

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group in Budapest, Budapest - Full lack of customer service skills, looks as a scam organization

I had an investment at a UK based "investment company", but due to several administrative problems I could not retrieve the money. I asked deVere to help, but it took them more than a year to understand what the inquiry was about. Then they sent me a sample (!!!) of the bulletin that the investment company issued, signed by the marketing manager (!!!) that something went wrong and almost all of my investment was lost. I told deVere that it was not right and may it be legal it is not ethical for sure and I feel robbed. From that time the representative at deVere behaved like a high school drama queen and felt it as a personal attack that I said so about this other company. Was it not his task to represent my interest? Why is he defending this other company? And also each of his e-mails started with the word "Incorrect" - that is what I would be in his opinion. But he never understood one single sentence or inquiry I addressed him. He always went whining about how hurt he was - like a little girl from kindergarten. So finally I gave him some advice on what kind of attitude to develop if he wants to be successful in the financial world. His answer was: I am silly... No comment. And you wonder why some many has lost their trust in the financial advisors.

Devere Group in Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Constant Unsolicited Contact - HARASSMENT

The deVere Group browse my linked in profile, and then a couple of weeks later I get a call. The format is always the same, they mention a name of a person that they think I know; mention one or two details from my linked in profile, as though they know me, and the invite me to an informal meeting. The problem is, that this is constant. I receive quarterly calls from them, and each time I ask to have my details updated so that I will never ever receive a call from them, and then 3 or 4 months later I get another call. If I know I have some money to invest I will choose who to invest it with, and not let some cold calling charlatan from the deVere Group relieve me of my hard-earned cash!

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group - Please stay away from DeVere

A smartly dressed consultant sold a 15 year Zurich policy. After 3 years, I realised that the charges were high and asked for explanation. I was repeatedly dumped with "MASSIVE" spreadsheets with raw data. The consultant would not explain. I then decided to suspend as the policy allowed for 3 year suspension. Its 3 years now. I contacted the consultant to re-start contributions (as I lose more money if I do not restart) and he did not respond. I approached Zurich and they referred me to another DeVere consultant who is unwilling to answer 3 simple questions about the policy!

Devere Group in Johannesburg, Gauteng - Misrepresentation

DeVere and partner sold me a Friends Provident scheme with a fund which was supposedly low risk. After investigating my portfolio in 2013 and querying the status of this fund, I was informed the fund had been liquidated in November 2013. I requested a formal enquiry from DeVere Group and followed up on numerous occasions "dating back to the first half of 2014" on this liquidation. To date, I have received no feedback and the only communication received from DeVere is "Be Patient". When this fund was sold to me at the time, it was to be part of a low risk portfolio. After doing my own research, I have discovered the fund was a DeVere & partner fund and should have been classified as high risk.

Devere Group in Nuremberg, Bavaria - DeVere Botswana - my British pension

What do DeVere Group do once they've got their hands on my British pension? Botswana is a pretty small place - why are they targetting me here when their office is in Cape Town? They've called me out of the blue several times and now are spamming me through social media, so they must really want it. I've got a British Army pension - pretty much gold plated and I can't see the Army ever defaulting on it - so does anyone out there know why they are so keen to manage it for me, or what they'd do with it if I let them?
