DeVere group meeting manchester 09/11/2012

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! Meeting held to discuss the company and what the job entails. If you want to work for this outfit it's all tooo easy to make a living it seems (MINIMUM £100K per annum apparently) it seems in any location of your choice around the world (with little or no professional financial qualifications). I had a bad feeling at the start and throughout the meeting about the whole thing and I will not be going any where near deVere. Their HR guy seemed a bit of a wide boy and at times a little unprofessional.

David rang again - for the 6th time this year - Will this bunch of shisters just *** off annoying people in Thailand - their cold calling is illegal and I have repeatedly asked to be removed from their mailing list - suggest everyone contact them via their Linkedin profile which is where these tossers are sourcing . I will be reporting them again to the FSA. These clowns are a joke and should leave thailand and people who have kindly asked them to not call - listen and respect people who don't need such "financial"advice - if you were any good then you would have made enough money personally to not have to panhanded and hound decent folks

So far, I have seen many complaints against deVere Group but unfortunately many of them are from anonymous posts. However, this time, the post will be from a former employee which witnessed the true reality of this company and paid the price for having my CV and career completely tarnished. In the post I will be bringing a series of REAL LIFE cases of clients from this company who lost a lot of money in their investments. Most of these clients did see or spoke or where contacted by some from deVere for years...when I took up the role I decided to contact all clients totally unaware of their their situations...went to meetings and suddenly I found myself in situation in which I was called dishonest and deceiver for these people...I immediately reported the situations and got...well, nothing but an email from Mr Nigel Green himself calling me lazy for not closing deals... In the years I have been working in this field in Brazil I have to say without a doubt that IFAs with very very few exceptions of professionals are a bunch of very untrustworthy people. They are not professionals in finance - specially the English contingent who are average guys, determined to make money! Not advise anyone! simply because the great majority is looking to stay around for a short period of time so they will advise on anything that can give them best commission possible... In the case of deVere - kicked out of Brazil twice and their 3rd time lucky attempt they hired me, never mentioned that the company have tones of clients (more like ex-clients) who lost a lot of money. They pay the worst commission in the market and clients who invest through them in the fund platform or structured notes - well, they have to be very uninformed people because deVere´s platform is very expensive and their structured note has a 4% upfront commission...when I showed this option to a well respected asset management firm owner in Brazil he literally laughed at my face and said NOBODY in the right state of mind will ever pay this. I myself charge 1% and there are options without no charges...that was the first alarming bell ringing in my head...that was just the beginning! I hope to hear so feedback on my posting and I will be continuing with more evidences on deVere Group in few days. Regards to all Pedro Araujo

Written by ex devere consultant on October 13, 2012 From Cardiff, Wales, UKI would gladly stand up in court and swear on oath that 90% of the devere IFA's are ex salesmen of some discription with out any financial background, but are promised the earth and training to become qualified IFA's. its total ***. the recruitment procedure is very slick and once you have been "accepted" you go on a 3- 4 day training course. this is basically 4 days to learn a script...... ALL the devere sales guys start there meeting with the following lines. the purpose of this meeting is for me to tell you about devere and partners and for you to tell me about yourself.... devere and partners have over 40,000 clients in 40 countries thru out the world............ and they carry on with the script..... if you learn it parrot fashion and can come across without it sounding scripted you will get accepted..... you then have to go to your destination office and then the *** fall out of your world............ you are left to sink or swim...... no company back up the managers are complete and utter *** who dont care about anything or anybody other than therre own pocket. I didnt like the way they operated and left the company, leaving me out of pocket to the tune of £6000 plus. you have to wait months to get paid not weeks and they dont care if you need money to survive........ its your problem......... to ANY GUYS LOOKING AT JOINING THEM.......... DONT DO IT......... THEY WILL SINK YOU. I WAS LUCKY MY FAMILY BAILED ME OUT AND GAVE ME A CASH INJECT TO RESTART MY LIFE..... OTHERS WONT BE SO LUCKY...... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Below is from Devere Group Weekly update - as a former client i still get their weekly news summary. These guys stole my life savings and they are warning people to watch out for scammers. Devere Group are the worst (or best depending on which side of the scam you are on) scammers out there. I worked hard for 25 years , saved a bit of money and still can't believe I let my guard down for long enough to let them destroy my savings. They need to be stopped. Everything that is written below they do to their clients , and they have to gaul to warn people against scammers. Scam artists prey on all ages According to the US Department of Justice, no one is immune to investment scams, as scam artists prey on people from all walks of life and of 'every age from young to middle age to retirees'. Denis McInerney, who runs the fraud section of the Department of Justice criminal division in Washington, warns that the investment scams that the division has dealt with over the years have been 'breathtaking in their scope' and in how 'brazen' the scammers are. Moreover, regional director of the US Securities and Exchange Commission Marc Fagel explained that as many people think that investment scams only have to do with stocks or bonds, scammers are very tactful in giving 'false projections of future prospects, or lie about the business background of the executives'. Fagel warned that scammers may also lie 'about what they will do with your money or lie about their fees and commissions'. Meanwhile, whilst investment scam cases seem to be 'everywhere', President Obama in 2009 created the federal Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force in order to coordinate a crackdown on financial scams. In effect, the task force is hosting summits in cities nationwide to raise public awareness on investment scams. As US attorney Andre Birotte puts it, 'The best way to fight crime is to prevent it'. I was cold called after my father's death, and pressured into investing inheritance in off-shore life assurance wrapper. The adviser recommended terrible funds, took his commission then went AWOL during the financial crash of 2008. After his mysterious disappearance DeVere took months to assign me another adviser by which time funds had gone bankrupt or were in suspension. I've lost about £50,000. I'm resident in France but they didn't have an office here at that time. The adviser was in Spain but got me to sign a form saying I'd been given the advice in Belgium. Their website lists regulatory authorities but which one would this be under: France, Belgium or Spain? Or their main office in Switzerland? Also very concerned about their QROPS scheme which I am also in. Victims of DeVere need to get together, pool resources and information. I am planning to set up a meet-up group in Paris.

Sie haben keinen Lohn, sondern nur Verkaufsprovision. Ausgebildet werden sie in einer einwöchigen Schnellbleiche. Entsprechend hoch ist die Fluktuation. In 9 Monaten habe ich nun bereits den 4. "persönlichen Berater". Ein ehemaliger Mitarbeiter schreibt auf http://devere-group.pissedconsumer.com/ Geld einem deVere-Mitarbeiter anvertrauen sei etwa gleich, wie sein Vermögen von einem Zehnjährigen verwalten zu lassen. Natürlich sind die Renditen extrem hoch. Nehmen Sie eine steuerfreie Kanalinsel und stellen Sie ein paar Fonds in einen Korb, die in den letzten Monaten stark rentiert haben. Fertig das Gewinnversprechen. Für die Zukunft ist das keine Garantie. Garantiert ist jedoch: je höher der Gewinn, desto grösser das Risiko. Vergleichen Sie aber auch die Spesen. Denn Bruttogewinn ist das eine, was Sie netto im Portemonnaie haben das andere. After being headhunted i also took a position with devere in vietnam, the manager was overbearing to the extreme, you get a desk an a phone and told to get on with it, the only training i received by the manager was to take out the charge sheet from the only 2 investments that pay consultants with the most amount of commision, ie, generali and friends provident, while i was there consultants had to deal with individuals who had lost money and give them one of thier stories. i hope not all brokers work this way. i witnessed intimadation, racism, and just a general abuse of employees while they go out on the *** and sleep with *** so they could tell thier stories to thier buddys. A very bad experience from start to finish that left me well out of pocket......BE WARNED.
