Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group Toulouse

Unsolicited Telephone call addressed to me direct and personal. After listening to extended spiel on financial advice, which sounded highly suspicious, asked for company details, but gave none of my own personal details. Caller gave some details, company name, location but no address, enough for me to identify them, but tone changed immediately. Website looks genuine, but there appear to many complaints of 'Boiler Room' type scam in operation. Advised caller 'We often take action against companies making unsolicited calls ... ' Caller said 'We will remove you from data base ' Caller rang off. Strongly advise against getting involved in any way with this organisation.

Devere Group in London, England - Jobs/Employment - DO NOT WORK HERE.

Having received a call from one of their lovely recruitment consultants, I was initially taken back by the offer - as you would be if vast amounts of money were presented to you as a salary. My very first challenge was my complete and utter lack of experience in the finance sector which was remedied by the fact that all training would be provided. Anyway, having had a lengthy talk with the consultant I agree to attend the meeting which seems to generally be held in London on Friday at the T4 Hilton meeting facilities. DO NOT GO - WASTE OF TIME AND FUEL! So of I went, wasting my time and fuel, to this lovely presentation - oh - by the way....make sure you turn up on time....they lock the doors at 1pm...You are 'greeted' by the glum face of a recruitment consultant named Liam - apparently he helped with the setup of this ponzi scam :) The charismatic presenter and head of training, Andy (that charismatic term will probably give him some sort of ego boost), gave a rather slick presentation which first of all covered sites like this and put to bed any negative online feedback. Sure - I am writing on experience of this process up till the point I really researched this company including talking to some very reputable financial advisors from other companies working in the same regions and high net individuals I know in the Middle East who have been "pestered" by Devere! They have all advised I stay clear - and in honest opinions too! Anyhoo - so you want to know about PAY...MOOHLA.....WONGA! Welllll the first slide is on QROPS - pension transfers (I am NOT a professional at this - just base knowledge)....We were advised a single transfer could gain as much as £12-15k in Commissions as an International Finance Advisor (IFA - the role they offer you)....OH WAIT....remember your 'PA' or coordinators? They get 20% of that and any other commission you make...that's right - you pay them (I swear this used to be called a pyramid scheme)...! BUT really - your 'bread and butter is RSP's' (quote: Andy, head of training), which typically gain you a commission in the region of £3,000 (remember to deduct that 20%)! So WHAT is my pay?....Answer....NOTHING! ZERO! ZILCH! NADA.....Just what you earn in commissions through lying and having no integrity with the way in which you use a clients money. We were told by Andy to plan to have about 6-8 weeks of living expenses (yup...your accommodation, flights, food etc)...They do not cover flights at all - but for your training...they will cover your stay for 5 nights at a Hilton in Malta...but you have to pay for flights....but that sounds sweet right? Anyhoo - digressing - waste no time on this. DON"T even entertain it. They are simply dangling carrots in front of your eyes - are you a donkey? If so...please APPLY :D Watch out Polish investors - they seem to want to move into this market hard and fast....You will only be muddying your name, integrity and finances working here. To put this all into a final shot perspective - I was very happily offered a job today in the middle east, in my area of expertise with a company that has turned over a respectable $723 million USD in its 15 year history...ooooh not as grand as the £9Billion that DeVere have right? Welllll.....at least they are paying me to fly business class to Dubai, providing me with 3 return tickets a year to london, 28 days holiday, a healthy basic with commissions, accommodation, food for 3 months and wait for it......a driver (until I select the company car I wish to choose) :O Now THAT's how a company treats its employees and runs with good morales, values and integrity.... PEACE OUT DeVere....This is one fish that cottoned on to your ponzi - look forward to the cut n paste standard BS you post as a reponse.... :)

Devere Group - Devere scam !

As an employer Devere is a nightmare. Avoid them and erase all the information regarding Devere from your CV if you ever worked for them. They are liars, cheaters and there is one or two people qualified for financial jobs, however they are not experts about investment. They are also racist against some nationalities and co-ordinators are told not to contact certain people from certain nationalities. Their greed for money is horrifying and dangerous .As an employee, they will spend you like a coin if they think that you are not like them. You must be "a professional liar" ,rather than a professional finance and investment expert to be able to work for them.

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group - DeVere Lies-UAM Fund

99% of the comments on this site are absolutely true and accurate. I have met Nigel Green and was an employee when the UAM fund was suspended. The reason it was suspended? Well, originally set up to mirror 2 JP Morgan funds (so in essence completely unnecessary as you could just buy the funds directly and save yourself paying commission to your "adviser"), at some point in time it decided to step out of its remit entirely and invest in risky property assets. When the rumor came out that the fund was suspending, there was a (futile) rush to pull clients out, but it so happens that this was impossible due to Nigel Green and Mike Coady (both directors) getting preferential treatment allowing them to pull their funds out before every one of their clients. Treating customers fairly? HHmmmmmmm I will let you decide. I have seen advisers "guarentee" returns of 10% per year, 100% immediate uplift in value when transferring a pension into a QROPS, its criminal what they are doing. I worked as an advisor for 18 months before needing to leave due to the massive hole in my pocket and conscience. Dispicable company that relies on its international status and transient nature of its client base to avoid repercussion (after all if you get in a bit of a sticky situation, all you do is close down in that country as they did in Belgium and Cyprus or change your name and company structure) It makes me sick that people like this exist, honestly, stealing from pensioners just before retirement. They should do us all a favor and jump off a very tall building... The only reason they survive is people doing business with them, do yourself a big favour... Don't!!!

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group - Former deVere Employee now working for a reputable IFA in Zurich.

deVere Group Zurich/ Global is nothing more than a pump and dump brokerage (Selling risky structured products, Front loaded Insurance policies, Dodgy pension transfer schemes. The cream on top however is options in funds sold to clients such as UAM which were part owned by Nigel Green until it came to light) deVeres motto globally should be "We treat our clients & our staff equally like ***!" The Zurich office is supposed to be managed by a fellow called Stuart Holmes who has little interest in managing the office. He is useless at developing the Junior staff as he makes false promises & holds back allowances, the Junior staff are supposed to get towards their accommodation etc. In the year 2012 -2013 the Zurich offices had ten Junior Staff, now only two remain as the others saw sense and left after been *** one to many times. Out of a senior staff of eleven people four have left. This brokerage has a higher turnover of staff then that of a temp office. No doubt more will leave in the coming months as well. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company the staff are not qualified to give any of the advice that they pedal and deVere are in no way independent they work with a select number of companies who pay them high commission to sell their products. Most of the staff hired by deVere do not even come from financial backgrounds their only knowledge of finance is from CNBC that they have on 24/7 in their offices!

Devere Group - De Vere Group Cyprus

I see that the de Vere "Global Presence" no longer lists Cyprus on the website. I recall seeing it on this website no that long ago, but it ain't there now. Did they pull out of Cyprus? I thought I read that they were expanding their Cyprus operations after a restructuring involving the closure of the branch in Belgium but I might well have got it wrong. I suppose the best way of confirming this would be for anyone that reads this and who lives in Limassol to pop round to their offices above the car showroom and have a look .

Devere Group - Unlicensed Advice Switzerland

I agreed to see them here in Basel Switzerland as a potential investor. They lost credibility in my eyes - when they tried to make me believe a 25% return was possible and without risk - they ridiculed me for asking what the underlying structure of the deal was (do you know how every piece of your car works? Are you saying 70k people are all investing badly?) - they offered a tax effective investment without being licensed to advise on a swiss residents tax position i.e. *** If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. I know a couple of the guys who work there. Nice guys, but include a used car salesman and two humanities graduates. Not one financial bit of training among them. I sweated through degrees in pure maths, statistics, accounting, finance and an MBA and think i can see reality from fluffy blah blah and this is the latter. Great website. Keep up the good work guys.

Devere Group - Harassment from DeVere Dubai

I have been hounded by a guy called Tom from the De Vere Financial Group in Dubai who has been calling me for over a year. I have no idea where he got my number from? I have told him numerous amount of times that I am not interested yet he keeps calling. The last time I told him he was being too pushy and only today he called again I could not be bothered to go through the rigmarole of telling him I was not interesetd yet again so I put the phone down on him because he just does not give up. After talking to a friend she has heard similar stories. All this from the company CEO Nigel Green who does not agree with cold calling...? Leave me alone I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!! and if I was I certainly would NOT use DeVere Dubai...

Devere Group's reply to:

Devere Group - Did you invest or work for them and lost everything? You were a *** ***!!!

Lets summarise this up: BRITEX - Imperial Consolidated Fund - you invested in it: LOST IT ALL!! DEVERE GROUP - UAM Fund - you invested in it: so far YOU LOST IT ALL, maybe you will get it back...Personally, I will run the London Marathon totally naked if they ever pay it back to anyone (apart from Nigel Green who very certainly got this money back before!!!) Both company and funds have one thing in common: the wholly presence of NIGEL GREEN!!! Now, you invested in either of them and lost everything or you worked for this company and now you either get into the groove and become another shifty person or pretend you never worked for them to avoid never getting a job again...YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE TO BLAME!! If you are a ***, ***, HAVE VERY LOW LEVEL OF CONFIDENCE, YOU ARE IQ IS VERY LOW, YOU CAN´T DO A SIMPLE SEARCH IN THE NET TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS COMPANY: YOU ARE 100% QUALIFIED TO INVEST WITH THEM AND LIKE MANY MANY OTHER PEOPLE, TO GET TOTALLY SCREWED!!! CONGRATULATIONS

Devere Group in Hong Kong, Hong Kong - Simon Pratt deVere - good guy, don't believe stuff posted by Anoymous

There is much stuff posted online by 'Anonymous' people. If they won't put there name to it, don't believe it. I don't work for deVere (although I am happy to say I did a few years ago) and have no vested interest in posting this other than not liking the idea of having someone's name dragged through the mud for no valid reason. I have known Simon for 5 years and ALL the stuff I have read about him on this website is rubbish. Frankly speaking this whole website is rubbish. People get to write what they want with complete anonymity and no checking of facts whatsoever. If it was the printed press they would have been sued so many times they would be out of business. Apparently however it is OK to slander people anonymously on this site and the law protects the poster, not the victim. Go USA.
